Scarlet red colour gown made of matka silk a dress which can never go wrong!The gown has Dabka,Zari,Sequence,Gota-Patti and thread embroidery done on the Kali's.Dabka(also known as Dapka,Dubka) work is an intricate embroidery or needle and thread work from the lands of Rajasthan.Mostly done in gold,this is done once finished with printing on the fabric.Gota patti or gota work uses the applique technique.Small pieces of zari ribbon are applied onto the fabric with edges sewn down to create elaborate patterns.'Zari' is an even thread traditionally made of fine gold or silver used in traditional indian garments.This piece has handcrafted potli buttons on the yoke with zari detailing.Potli neck designs is basically a neck pattern where in a potli type of a pattern is made using fabric and thermocol balls.
